Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una base para un contenedor, donde la base está elaborada de material polimérico, que comprende: una superficie de apoyo que tiene un perímetro exterior que define una primera dimensión a lo largo de un eje principal y una segunda dimensión a lo largo de un eje menor dispuesta en un ángulo respecto al eje principal; una pared interior acoplada a la superficie de apoyo opuesta al perímetro exterior; y un domo que sobresale hacia arriba desde la pared interior y que tiene una profundidad inicial con respecto a la superficie de apoyo, la profundidad inicial del domo se encuentra entre aproximadamente 8% hasta aproximadamente 15% de la primera dimensión, el domo está definido por un radio de curvatura principal a lo largo del eje principal y un radio de curvatura menor a lo largo del eje menor, en donde el domo es deflectable en respuesta a un diferencial de presión a través de la base sin deformación permanente de la base.
