Abstract

The present invention generates sub-surface follicles connected to a surface by a novel model method which is useful as a negative for the liquid metal introduced into a mould. Once the liquid metal is solidified, an implant is obtained, this latter element having a rich surface for the distribution of follicles in which a treatment with a gel solution of bioactive glass or hydroxyapatite is performed. The result is a metallic surface with follicles coated with a layer of bioactive glass or hydroxyapatite. Consequently, a bone growth is generated in the surface of the implant with an anatomic fixing of the follicle (like the human hair) better than those generated by rough or textured surfaces, also generating a biological fixing promoted by the biological reaction between the bio-glass or hydroxyapatite and the growing bone.
