Abstract

La invención se refiere a una banda de protección (1) para tarjetas bancarias (2), que puede ser principalmente aplicada en el campo bancario para evitar los robos bancarios de los clientes de los bancos y otras instituciones financieras. La tercera capa (5) es la portadora de la información de oficio necesaria para la operación de los ATMs, aunque esta información no contiene datos financieros acerca del titular de la tarjeta (2). Esta capa (5) también puede ser una portadora de la información personal engañosa acerca del titular de la tarjeta (2). De manera más frecuente, esta es una banda magnética. Posteriormente, sigue una capa de protección (6) elaborada de una hoja delgada de metal o barniz u otro material adecuado para este fin. La banda de protección (1) es pegada en la parte en donde se encuentra la banda magnética estándar (7) de la tarjeta (2) y cubre la información financiera personal grabada en ésta.
