Abstract
Se proporciona un método y el aparato para realizar un procedimiento de acceso inicial en un sistema de comunicación inalámbrica. Un dispositivo inalámbrico detecta una célula de transmisión discontinua (DTX) que opera en un estado de transmisión discontinua (DTX) recibiendo una señal de descubrimiento que procede de la célula DTX; transmite un mensaje de petición inicial a la célula DTX para solicitar a la célula DTX la transición desde el estado DTX a un estado de transmisión continua (TX).
