Abstract
Se proporcionan métodos y sistemas para el uso de un sistema de ignición láser del motor para realizar una inspección visual de un motor y diagnosticar diversos componentes y condiciones del cilindro en base a mediciones posicionales del motor. Se pueden emitir pulsos de láser a un nivel de potencia más bajo durante un tiempo de admisión y/o escape para iluminar el interior del cilindro mientras que una fotodetector captura imágenes del interior del cilindro. Además, los pulsos de láser pueden emitirse en un nivel de potencia más alto para iniciar la combustión del cilindro mientras que el fotodetector captura imágenes del interior del cilindro utilizando la luz generada durante la combustión del cilindro.
