El dispositivo de exploración (110) comprende además al menos un dispositivo de selección (118) adaptado para seleccionar un espécimen de planta (120) o un grupo de especímenes de planta (122) a partir de la pluralidad de especímenes de planta (114) para escaneo por el detector (11 6). El dispositivo de selección (118) comprende un dispositivo de desviación (124) adaptado para desviar ondas electromagnéticas propagando entre los especímenes de planta (112) y el detector (116).
