Abstract

Se describe un sistema y método de simulación para un yacimiento representado por un modelo que tiene una pluralidad de nodos de matriz, una pluralidad de nodos de fractura, una zona de fractura y una zona libre de fracturas; una modalidad incluye pasos implementados por computadora que consisten en, para cada uno de una pluralidad de nodos de matriz en zonas interconectadas, caracterizar los nodos de matriz como nodos de matriz dual o nodos de matriz no dual; los nodos de matriz dual pueden ser tratados como un bloque y eliminados, después de lo cual la matriz de coeficiente y el vector RHS para el modelo son actualizados; se determinan patrones de relleno entre nodos de fractura y nodos de matriz no dual que resultan de la eliminación; para nodos de matriz no dual, los nodos son fusionados a una rejilla de fractura, después de lo cual la matriz de coeficiente y el vector RHS para el modelo son actualizados por consiguiente; el sistema lineal resultante es linealmente resuelto, y la resolución hacia atrás se ejecuta para cualesquiera nodos de matriz dual eliminados.
