Abstract
Se describe un proceso para la producción continua de sulfato de calcio alfa hemihidrato, comprendiendo el proceso las etapas de: mezclar partículas de yeso, un modificador de hábito y agua para formar una lechada de yeso. El proceso comprende además calcinar la lechada de yeso para proporcionar una suspensión de sulfato de calcio alfa hemihidrato y filtrar la suspensión de sulfato de calcio alfa hemihidrato para separar al menos una corriente de fluido de la suspensión, medir un primer parámetro de control de al menos una corriente de fluido o la suspensión de sulfato de calcio alfa hemihidrato; y combinar la al menos una corriente de fluido con más yeso, más agua y más modificador de hábito para formar una lechada de yeso adicional, en donde el proceso comprende además variar la cantidad de modificador de hábito adicional dependiendo de un valor medido del primer parámetro de control. También se proporciona un aparato para realizar el proceso descrito.
