Abstract
En la presente se describen organismos hospedadors recombinantes que tienen una vía activa de fermentación de pentosa y que comprenden además un polinucleótido heterólogo que codifica para una gliceraldehido-3-fosfato deshidrogenasa (GAPN) dependiente de NADP no fosforilante. También se describen procesos para producir un producto de fermentación, tal como un etano, a partir de almidón o material que contiene celulosa con los organismos hospedadors recombinantes.
