Abstract
Un método de particionamiento de un bloque de codificación de video para JVET, que comprende representar una unidad de árbol de codificación de JVET como un nodo raíz en una estructura de árbol cuaternario más binario (QTBT) que puede tener una ramificación cuaternaria del nodo raíz y ramificación de árboles binarios de cada uno de los nodos hoja cuaternarios usando particionamiento binario asimétrico para dividir una unidad de codificación representada por un nodo hoja cuaternario en dos unidades de codificación hija de tamaño desigual, representar las dos unidades de codificación hija como nodos hoja en una ramificación de árbol binario del nodo hoja cuaternario y codificar las unidades de codificación hija representadas por nodos hoja del árbol binario con JVET, en el que no se permite particionamiento adicional de unidades de codificación hija divididas a partir de nodos hoja cuaternarios a través de particionamiento binario asimétrico.
