Abstract
Un método para predecir una ocurrencia de una característica geológica en una imagen de núcleo geológico usa un proceso de segmentación habilitado por retropropagación entrenado ingresando múltiples imágenes de núcleo geológico de entrenamiento y un conjunto de etiquetas asociadas de características geológicas, calculando iterativamente una predicción de la probabilidad de ocurrencia de la característica geológica para las imágenes de entrenamiento y ajustando los parámetros en el modelo de segmentación habilitado por retropropagación hasta que el modelo esté entrenado. El modelo de segmentación habilitado por retropropagación entrenado se usa para predecir la ocurrencia de las características geológicas en imágenes de núcleos geológicos que no son de entrenamiento. Las características geológicas que se pueden predecir con este método incluyen características estructurales (como venas, fracturas, contactos de lecho, etc.) y características estratigráficas (como tipos litológicos, estructuras sedimentarias, facies sedimentarias, etc.).
