Abstract

Las modalidades se proporcionan para crear imágenes de un sistema operativo (OS) mediante la creación de una nueva imagen de OS a partir de una copia de imagen de OS de instalador mantenida en un almacenamiento duradero. Durante la creación de imagen de OS, solo un subconjunto de archivos de OS a partir de la imagen de instalador se copia completamente en la nueva imagen de OS. Los archivos de marcador de posición se crean para otros archivos no incluidos en el subconjunto inicial de archivos de OS que se determinó que eran críticos para el arranque del OS y/o un conjunto mínimo de funcionalidades de OS. Los archivos de marcador de posición se distinguen de los archivos dispersos y el sistema de archivos los presenta incorrectamente como copias completas de la imagen de OS de instalador subyacente. Los datos de los archivos de marcador de posición solo se copian cuando se solicita, bajo demanda y/o cuando hay ancho de banda de procesamiento disponible/no utilizado que se identifica posteriormente después de reiniciar el sistema de cómputo con la nueva imagen de OS.
