Abstract

En la presente descripción se proporcionan métodos y composiciones para proporcionar identificación y/o trazabilidad de materiales biológicos. En ciertas modalidades, se proporcionan métodos que incluyen las etapas de: determinar una secuencia de al menos una secuencia identificadora única en el ADN genómico de una entidad biológica; validar la identificación de la entidad biológica mediante la verificación de la presencia de la secuencia identificadora única en el ADN genómico, y comparar la secuencia identificadora única con una base de datos para confirmar su unicidad; proporcionar una indicación de aceptabilidad para producir un material biológico a partir de la entidad biológica; e introducir la secuencia identificadora única en una entrada de base de datos de la base de datos y asociar la secuencia identificadora única con información de identificación y/o seguimiento; de esta manera se proporciona la trazabilidad mediante la lectura de la secuencia identificadora única y la recuperación de la entrada de la base de datos correspondiente para obtener la información de identificación y/o seguimiento. Se proporcionan también oligonucleótidos, casetes y composiciones para proporcionar identificación y/o trazabilidad de materiales biológicos.
