Abstract
La recolección de elementos no utilizados (GC) para recuperar memoria en sistemas de cómputo, en ocasiones suspende aplicaciones, servicios web, y otros programas de mutador con el fin de escanear sus pilas de ejecución, lo cual reduce su capacidad de respuesta. Pero los tiempos de suspensión se disminuyen por medio de funcionalidad de optimización de escaneo de pila impulsada por comportamiento (BDSSO) que aumenta la simultaneidad de la ejecución del mutador con el escaneo de pila de GC. BDSSO obtiene datos de ocurrencia de marco de pila de ejecución, determina probabilidades de ejecución de marco, selecciona una profundidad de escaneo de pila con base en las probabilidades, e instala una barrera de retorno de escaneo en la profundidad seleccionada. Después, la GC escanea la pila de ejecución debajo de la barrera mientras el mutador se ejecuta, aumentando así la simultaneidad y mejorando la capacidad de respuesta del mutador. Las ubicaciones de barrera seleccionadas varían de acuerdo con la actividad de pila real para proporcionar simultaneidad optimizada en lugar de utilizar un planteamiento inflexible para la colocación de barrera. Las muestras del generador de perfiles existente o interfaces de máquina virtual se pueden reutilizar por medio de BDSSO. También se pueden utilizar muestras delgadas que carecen de datos de desempeño del generador de perfiles.
