Abstract

The present invention generally relates to a method of treating a wellbore or a subterranean hydrocarbon-bearing formation to increase hydrocarbon recovery from the formation. Particularly, the present invention relates to polymers for oil and gas field applications such as enhanced hydrocarbon recovery in oil reservoirs having a high temperature. The present invention refers to a method for treating a subterranean formation and especially to a process and system for recovering hydrocarbons, especially oil from oil-bearing subterranean formations or reservoirs, wherein a biopolymer is employed in the tertiary recovery of hydrocarbons.
