Abstract
Se describen métodos y materiales para la inhibición del crecimiento de un patógeno microbiano de un vegetal. El método comprende los pasos de aplicar al vegetal una combinación de un compuesto portador de una tintura que es un fotosensibilizador de especie reactiva de oxígeno; y un compuesto de cobre, que aumenta la letalidad microbiana del compuesto portador de una tintura hacia el patógeno microbiano; y exponer el vegetal a la luz para activar la combinación del compuesto portador de una tintura y el compuesto de cobre e inhibir el crecimiento de un patógeno microbiano de un vegetal. La combinación del compuesto portador de una tintura y el compuesto de cobre puede resultar en una capacidad sinérgica de reducir el crecimiento de un patógeno de un vegetal.
