Abstract

En la presente divulgación se describe un método, un sistema y un aparato para diagnosticar un episodio de agitación inminente en un sujeto predispuesto a la agitación. El método divulgado incluye monitorear una o más señales fisiológicas de la actividad del sistema nervioso simpático en el sujeto mediante el uso de un dispositivo de detección automatizado colocado o montado en la superficie de la piel del sujeto; e identificar, a través del procesamiento de datos entrantes en el dispositivo, cuándo el sujeto está a punto de tener un episodio de agitación. La divulgación proporciona una solución para medir los signos de un evento de agitación inminente, y alerta al cuidador para que trate al sujeto antes de que surja la agitación y proporciona un tratamiento adecuado para ésta.
