Se describe composiciones incluyendo zinc, cobre y ácido, en donde el ácido se selecciona de ácido cítrico, ácido sulfúrico, ácido oxálico, ácido húmico, ácido fúlvico, ácido bórico, ácido acético, y una combinación de los mismos. Ciertas modalidades incluyen opcionalmente sulfato de amonio. Las composiciones descritas tienen actividad cebadora de plantas donde las defensas de las plantas a estrés abiótico y biótico se incrementan.
