Abstract
Un transformador de balasto y sistema que utiliza el transformador de balasto para acoplar potencia a una carga de plasma. El transformador de balasto tiene un núcleo magnético, un primer bobinado primario en un lado primario del núcleo magnético, un bobinado secundario en un lado secundario del núcleo magnético, y un segundo bobinado primario conectado en serie con el primer bobinado primario y devanado cerca del bobinado secundario en el lado secundario del núcleo magnético. El primer bobinado primario se puede conectar a la fuente de alimentación de CA, y el bobinado secundario se puede conectar a la carga de plasma por medio de un cable coaxial.
