Abstract

La presente tecnología se refiere a un dispositivo y método de procesamiento de imagen para lograr una reducción en un tamaño de búfer. El dispositivo de procesamiento de imagen particiona una unidad de procesamiento en unidades de procesamiento particionadas cada una de las cuales corresponde a un tamaño de la VPDU o es igual a, o más pequeño que el tamaño de la VPDU, la unidad de procesamiento es usada para el cálculo de un costo que se usa para determinar sí o no realizar predicción bidireccional. El dispositivo de procesamiento de imagen hace la determinación usando el costo calculado basado en las unidades de procesamiento particionadas. La presente tecnología es aplicable para dispositivos de codificación o dispositivos de decodificación.
