Abstract

Estructura multicapa integrada (100, 200, 300, 400, 600, 700), que comprende una película de sustrato (102) que tiene un primer lado y un segundo lado opuesto; la electrónica que comprende al menos una fuente de luz (110), opcionalmente un LED, que se proporciona sobre el primer lado de la película de sustrato y un número de conductores eléctricos (112), preferentemente impresos mediante tecnología electrónica impresa, que al menos se acoplan eléctricamente a la al menos una fuente de luz (110), la al menos una fuente de luz (110) que se configura para emitir luz en una o más frecuencias o longitudes de onda seleccionadas, incluyendo opcionalmente luz visible; un elemento ópticamente transmisor (104) que comprende un material termoplástico ópticamente transmisor, teniendo en cuenta las frecuencias o longitudes de onda seleccionadas, que tiene un primer índice de refracción y se produce, preferentemente mediante la utilización de moldeo a partir de dicho material termoplástico ópticamente transmisor, sobre el primer lado de la película de sustrato (102) para incorporar al menos parcialmente la al menos una fuente de luz (110) en su interior; y el revestimiento óptico (106, 106a, 106b) que comprende un material que tiene un índice de refracción más bajo que el primer índice de refracción y se proporciona adyacente al elemento ópticamente transmisor sobre el primer lado de la película de sustrato (102), en donde la al menos una fuente de luz, el elemento ópticamente transmisor y el revestimiento óptico se configuran mutuamente (702, 704) para transmitir la luz que emite la fuente de luz (110) dentro del material ópticamente transmisor del elemento ópticamente transmisor, al menos una porción de la luz que se transmite sufre una reflexión interna sustancialmente total cuando incide sobre el revestimiento óptico.
