Abstract
Se describen métodos y aparatos para usar regiones de cuadrícula flexible en fotogramas de imagen o video. En una modalidad, un método incluye recibir un conjunto de primeros parámetros que define una pluralidad de primeras regiones de cuadrícula que comprenden un fotograma. Para cada primera región de cuadrícula, el método incluye recibir un conjunto de segundos parámetros que define una pluralidad de segundas regiones de cuadrícula, y la pluralidad de segundas regiones de cuadrícula particiona la respectiva primera región de cuadrícula. El método incluye además particionar el fotograma en la pluralidad de primeras regiones de cuadrícula basado en el conjunto de primeros parámetros, y particionar cada primera región de cuadrícula en la pluralidad de segundas regiones de cuadrícula basado en el conjunto respectivo de segundos parámetros.
