Abstract

The present invention relates to an oral composition of Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs) and its use for the prevention and treatment of the disease caused by the White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV) that affects crustaceans, including white shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei). Said composition includes Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs) and Sodium Alginate mixed in balanced crustacean feed, providing higher survival against infections with viral agents, such as WSSV in live shrimp.
