Abstract
La invención se refiere a un sistema de control de glucosa en la sangre automatizado, que incluye una unidad de procesamiento y control capaz de predecir, con base en un modelo matemático, la tendencia futura de la glucosa en la sangre del paciente G(t), en donde el modelo toma como entradas: una variable EE(t) representativa de la variación en el tiempo del gasto energético del paciente; una variable IOB(t) representativa de la variación en el tiempo de la cantidad de insulina a bordo del paciente; y una variable COB(t) representativa de la variación en el tiempo de la cantidad de glucosa a bordo del paciente, y en donde el modelo matemático es un modelo de tipo caja negra , es decir, un modelo no fisiológico definido solamente por la observación de los efectos de las variables de entrada EE(t), IOB(t) y COB(t) sobre la variable de salida G(t), sin tomar en cuenta los diferentes mecanismos fisiológicos conocidos que operan en el cuerpo del paciente.
