Abstract

Se describen ejemplos de métodos para identificar descendencias para usar en fitomejoramiento de plantas; un ejemplo de método implementado por computadora incluye el acceso a una estructura de datos que incluye datos representativos de una población de descendencias y la determinación de una puntuación de predicción para al menos una parte de la población de descendencias con base en los datos incluidos en la estructura de datos; la calificación de predicción indica una probabilidad de selección de la descendencia con base en datos históricos; el método también incluye seleccionar un grupo de descendencias de la población de descendencias con base en la puntuación de predicción, identificar un conjunto de descendencias del grupo de descendencias con base en al menos uno de un desempeño esperado del grupo de descendencias y al menos un factor asociado con el conjunto de descendencias, la población de descendencias y/o el grupo de descendencias, y dirigir el conjunto de descendencias a una fase de validación de una vía de fitomejoramiento.
