Abstract
Sistemas y métodos para crear y almacenar una mezcla en fase líquida de gas natural absorbido en disolventes de hidrocarburo ligero bajo temperaturas y presiones que facilitan las relaciones volumétricas mejoradas del gas natural almacenado comparado con el CNG y PLNG a las mismas temperaturas y presiones de menos de -80° (-62.2ºC) a alrededor de -120 ºF (-84.4 ºC) y alrededor de 300 psig (21.09 kg/cm2 manométricos) a alrededor de 900 psig (63.27 kg/cm2 manométricos); los disolventes preferidos incluyen etano, propano y butano y disolventes líquidos de gas natural (NGL) y gas presurizado líquido (LPG); los sistemas y métodos para recibir (11, 13) producción en bruto o gas natural semiacondicionado, acondicionar el gas, producir (14) una mezcla en fase líquida de gas natural absorbido en un disolvente de hidrocarburo ligero y transportar (16) la mezcla a un mercado donde el gas de calidad de tubería o productos fraccionados se suministran de una manera que utiliza menos energía que los sistemas de CNG, PLNG o LNG con mejor relación carga-masa a contención-masa para el componente de gas natural que los sistemas CNG.
