Abstract
Un método y dispositivo para codificar una representación 3D capturada desde un rango de puntos de visión. Al menos un mapa de profundidad de una parte de la representación 3D es generada de acuerdo con una parametrización 2D dependiendo de esa parte de la representación 3D. Un mapa de textura de esta parte es generado a partir de la misma parametrización. Una variación del parámetro de cuantificación dentro del mapa de profundidad y/o textura se obtiene de acuerdo con una región de interés de la representación 3D. El mapa de profundidad, el mapa de textura, la parametrización 2D, la variación QP y un mapeo entre la parametrización 2D y el mapa de profundidad y textura correspondientes se codifica en una corriente de bits. También se describen un método y dispositivo de decodificación correspondientes.
