Abstract
Un aparato de codificación de imagen, que comprende un selector configurado para seleccionar, de un conjunto de operaciones de predicción candidatas que definen al menos una dirección de predicción, una operación de predicción para la predicción de muestras de una región actual de una imagen actual, la región actual que comprende una matriz de dos o más filas y dos o más columnas de muestras. Un detector configurado para detectar si las muestras correspondientes a cualquiera de los dos o más conjuntos lineales paralelos de muestras de referencia no están disponibles para su uso en la predicción de muestras de la región actual y, si alguno de los dos o más conjuntos lineales paralelos de muestras de referencia no están disponibles, para inhibir la selección, por el selector, de una operación de predicción candidata que depende de las muestras de referencia no disponibles<.
