Abstract
Se describe un sistema y método para monitorear electrodos de grafito para uso en un horno de arco eléctrico que incluye recibir identificadores de electrodos de un lector de etiquetas de identificación de radiofrecuencia (RFID) configurado para interrogar etiquetas de RFID en las proximidades de un horno de arco eléctrico (EAF), en donde las etiquetas de RFID están unidas a electrodos. El identificador de electrodo está asociado con datos de EAF reunidos del EAF y la asociación se almacena en una memoria. La asociación se usa para generar parámetros de operación actuales y pasados del horno de arco eléctrico para electrodos específicos. Los datos para cada electrodo específico utilizado en el EAF también pueden reunirse para determinar parámetros de rendimiento para electrodos específicos.
