Abstract
La presente invención ofrece algunas especificaciones generales de diseño, montaje y adaptación de una celda electroquímica a un sistema de alta temperatura y presión para estudios de corrosión que simulan condiciones de operación en ductos, así como la operación y seguridad de una autoclave para evaluar el proceso electroquímico de superficies metálicas expuestas en soluciones líquidas. La celda electroquímica consiste en un arreglo de tres electrodos que incluyen un electrodo de cilindro rotatorio diseñado para operar herméticamente, un electrodo referencia y un electrodo auxiliar. El electrodo de cilindro rotatorio está considerado como el electrodo de trabajo donde se estudian los procesos de oxidación y reducción electroquímica. Sin embargo, el uso del método descrito en esta obra se puede extender a otros medios de prueba y materiales, considerando las propiedades físicas y químicas de los fluidos y de los materiales a utilizar para evitar cualquier riesgo para el personal operativo.
