Abstract

The present invention discloses methods for manufacturing nanocomposites of copper hydroxide, cuprous oxide, and cupric oxide with graphene nanoplates by high intensity or ultrasonic mixing treatments of graphite mixtures and precursor copper hydroxide salts in water. The intermediate reaction compounds of copper hydroxide are modified to cupric oxide-graphene and cuprous oxide-graphene. Also, it uses binary compounds successfully as materials for measuring glucose and hydrogen peroxide contents in aqueous solutions used as non-enzymatic biosensors thereof.
