Abstract

The present disclosure is related to a ocular fundus camera system, which is mainly made up of: an illumination means comprising a light source having a hexagonal arrangement of high luminosity white LEDs and infrared LEDs. An ellipsoidal perforated mirror located in front of said illumination means and angularly deflected to reflect the light emitted by the light source at an angle of approximately 90 °. A digital camera connected to a PC, and placed in such a way that the focus or object of the same passes through the hole of the ellipsoidal mirror. A spherical lens positioned 90 ° with respect to the illumination medium, and in alignment with the focus of the digital camera, which is configured to receive the light emitted by the illumination medium and to suppress aberrations due to elements such as the cornea and the crystalline lens. A chinrest to position and support the patient's head, the infrared LEDs allow to align and preview the ocular fundus, and once the fundus has been aligned and previewed, the white LEDs light up long enough to illuminate the ocular fundus. To avoid a reduction in the diameter of the pupil and the fundus image, it makes a return path, passing through the aspherical lens and passing through the central hole of the flat mirror until it reaches the camera objective to be processed.
