Abstract

The present invention relates to a lubricated surface with two geometries of laser texturing on the face of cutting inserts for machining. Also, it relates to the use of Nano clays in water-based core fluids for improving the effectiveness of tribal characteristics, such as coefficient of friction, wear of the tool (cutting insert), and the roughness of the machined part.
