Abstract
La presente invención proporciona métodos y aparatos para asociar portadoras en una red de comunicación inalámbrica. Una modalidad proporciona un método en un dispositivo terminal inalámbrico. El dispositivo terminal inalámbrico es configurable con una pluralidad de portadoras para comunicación con uno o más nodos de red de una red inalámbrica. La pluralidad de portadoras comprende una primera portadora operada por un primer nodo de red de la red inalámbrica ubicado en un primer sitio celular. El método comprende: en respuesta a una determinación de que una segunda portadora de la pluralidad de portadoras sea operada por el primer nodo de red o un segundo nodo de red de la red inalámbrica que se encuentre en el primer sitio celular: obtener uno o más valores medidos para una o más características de radio para la primera portadora; y usar el uno o más valores medidos para transmitir un mensaje de radio inalámbrico a través de la segunda portadora.
