Abstract
Una bandeja de contacto para usar en una columna de transferencia de masa o intercambio de calor y que tiene una cubierta de bandeja con un área de entrada y una salida ubicada remotamente para recibir respectivamente líquido en la cubierta de bandeja y, después, eliminar el líquido después de que ha fluido a través de la cubierta de bandeja y ha interactuado con otro fluido por encima de la cubierta de bandeja. Una pluralidad de barreras se ubican entre el área de entrada y la salida. Cada una de las barreras tienen piquetes separados y aberturas en el espacio entre los piquetes adyacentes.
