Abstract
Un sistema para determinar el volumen de fluido del espacio anular en un pozo durante una operación de perforación que tiene un generador de ondas de presión ubicado en la parte superior de un pozo, en donde el generador de ondas de presión genera una onda de presión que se propaga a través del fluido del espacio anular en el pozo; un primer receptor de ondas de presión ubicado en el espacio anular del pozo para recibir la onda de presión generada en un primer valor de tiempo; un segundo receptor de ondas de presión ubicado en el espacio anular del pozo para recibir la onda de presión generada en un segundo valor de tiempo; y un controlador que determina un cambio en el volumen de fluido del espacio anular en función, al menos en parte, de un cambio de fase entre la onda de presión recibida en el primer y el segundo valor de tiempo.
