Abstract
Se describen técnicas para encaminamiento mejorado y reenvío mejorado de datos al aprovechar el creciente número de núcleos lógicos en un sistema de cómputo. En ciertas modalidades, se describe un dispositivo de red que comprende varias interfaces de red y núcleos lógicos. El dispositivo de red también puede incluir una pluralidad de nodos de procesamiento, en donde cada nodo de procesamiento incluye instrucciones para procesar paquetes de red y está asociado con un núcleo lógico. Adicionalmente, el dispositivo de red puede incluir lógica de control configurada para recibir un paquete de red en una interfaz, seleccionar un subconjunto de nodos de procesamiento de una pluralidad de nodos de procesamiento para procesar el paquete de red, con base a los contenidos del paquete de red y la interfaz en la que se recibe el paquete de red, y programar el procesamiento del paquete de red por el subconjunto de los nodos de procesamiento en los respectivos núcleos lógicos asociados con cada uno del subconjunto de nodos de procesamiento.
