Abstract

Un sistema pick-to-light sin zona inicialmente introduce un grupo de totes en una estación de preparación de pedidos inicial al escanear un identificador de tote para cada tote en el grupo. Se asigna un pedido de producto a cada tote en el grupo de totes inducidos, de manera que coincide un producto en la estación de preparación de pedidos, con el pedido que provoca que una luz se ilumine adyacente al producto correspondiente necesario para cumplir con el pedido. Un usuario escanea una identificación personal y recoge y coloca la cantidad deseada del producto para cumplir con el pedido del producto para cada tote en la estación. El grupo de totes se mueve en una dirección de flujo a una estación de preparación de pedidos adyacente, donde el usuario puede elegir seguir el grupo de totes a la estación de preparación de pedidos corriente abajo adyacente o abandonar el grupo de totes, de modo que un usuario diferente pueda completar los pedidos de productos para el grupo de totes.
