Abstract

Un método realizado por un nodo de red de acceso de radio para buscar un dispositivo de comunicación en un área de cobertura, servida por el nodo de red de acceso de radio, en una red de comunicaciones, el método comprendiendo: recibir (401) una solicitud de búsqueda desde un nodo de red central, en donde la solicitud de búsqueda comprende una indicación de un nivel de soporte del dispositivo de comunicación (140), dicho nivel de soporte indica si el dispositivo de comunicación (140) soporta o no un modo de operación específico de una RAT; y determinar (402), con base en la indicación del nivel de soporte del dispositivo de comunicación, y con base en una capacidad del área de cobertura para soportar el modo de operación específico de la RAT, un canal para buscar el dispositivo de comunicación en el área de cobertura o para no buscar el dispositivo de comunicación en el área de cobertura.
