Abstract
Un método para evaluar una formación subterránea incluye transportar una herramienta a lo largo de un hueco. La herramienta incluye un transmisor que transmite un pulso de accionamiento y un receptor que recibe al menos una respuesta de la formación al pulso de accionamiento. El método incluye además calcular una relación de señal a ruido a la respuesta de la formación y comparar la relación de señal a ruido con un umbral programable. El método incluye además determinar, basándose en la comparación, un pulso de accionamiento ajustado para su transmisión y transmitir el pulso de accionamiento ajustado. El método incluye además recibir al menos una respuesta de la formación al pulso de accionamiento ajustado y derivar datos de la formación de la respuesta de la formación al pulso de accionamiento ajustado. El método incluye además presentar una representación de la formación basada en los datos de la formación.
