Abstract
Un mecanismo de transmisión continuamente variable incluye un armazón de cambio de velocidad que tiene ranuras de guía dispuestas anularmente más interiores, ranuras de guía cruciformes dispuestas anularmente más exteriores, y orificios de recepción dispuestos anularmente intermedios que comunican con las ranuras de guía y las ranuras de guía cruciformes; unidades de cambio de velocidad que tienen esferas de cambio de velocidad recibidas de forma móvil en y expuestas desde los orificios de recepción, varillas de cambio de velocidad dispuestas de forma penetrante y móvil en las esferas de cambio de velocidad, y varillas deslizantes de cambio de velocidad conectadas perpendicularmente a los extremos expuestos de la varillas de cambio de velocidad, en donde las varillas deslizantes de cambio de velocidad y las varillas están expuestas desde porciones extremas de las esferas de cambio de velocidad y se deslizan dentro de las ranuras de guía cruciformes, mientras que las varillas de cambio de velocidad están expuestas desde otras porciones extremas de las esferas de cambio de velocidad y se deslizan dentro de las ranuras de guía; dos unidades de soporte oblicuas que tienen anillos de soporte oblicuos con superficies anulares de soporte inclinadas hacia afuera para soportar las esferas de cambio de velocidad y superficies anulares de sujeción inclinadas hacia adentro, soportes oblicuos que tienen superficies anulares de sujeción inclinadas hacia afuera y anillos de bolas cónicos truncados fijados entre las superficies anulares de sujeción inclinadas hacia adentro y hacia afuera; rotores de entrada y salida de potencia con superficies anulares de sujeción inclinadas hacia adentro de entrada de potencia y salida de potencia para sujetar las esferas de cambio de velocidad desde los orificios de recepción, respectivamente.
