Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un aparato cargador con un primer puerto, un segundo puerto, un primer circuito acoplado al primer puerto y un segundo circuito acoplado al segundo puerto. El cargador también incluye un controlador, en donde el primer circuito y el segundo circuito reciben cada uno una señal de energía de DC generada de una señal de entrada de AC, y en donde el controlador está estructurado y configurado para determinar si una corriente de carga en el segundo circuito está por encima de un nivel de umbral y responder a la determinación que la corriente de carga está por encima del nivel umbral, (i) haciendo que el primer circuito anuncie la primera corriente a un nivel que es menor que un nivel de corriente máximo que se puede anunciar en el primer puerto, y (ii) haciendo que el segundo circuito anuncie la segunda corriente a un nivel que es igual a un nivel de corriente máximo que se puede anunciar en el segundo puerto.
