Abstract
Se proporciona un esquema de protección de CC (10, 110, 210, 310, 410, 510) para proteger un medio de transmisión de energía de CC (16, 116, 216) dentro de una red de energía eléctrica de CC (12); el esquema de protección de CC (10, 110, 210, 310, 410, 510) comprende: un dispositivo de protección (14, 114, 214) acoplado en uso a un medio de transmisión de energía de CC (16, 116, 216), pudiendo el dispositivo de protección funcionar para proteger el medio de transmisión de energía de CC (16, 116, 216) de una falla eléctrica; un aparato de medición para medir selectivamente al menos una propiedad eléctrica del medio de transmisión de energía de CC (16, 116, 216); y un controlador (18, 118, 218) programado para: (i) determinar la dirección de la falla eléctrica comparando las ondas de desplazamiento hacia adelante y hacia atrás derivadas de la o cada propiedad eléctrica medida; (ii) determinar si la falla eléctrica es una falla interna o externa comparando las componentes de frecuencia primera y segunda derivadas de cada propiedad eléctrica medida, en donde la frecuencia de la primera componente de frecuencia es mayor que la frecuencia del segundo componente de frecuencia; y (iii) operar el dispositivo de protección (14, 114, 214) para proteger el medio de transmisión de energía de CC (16, 116, 216) si la determinación de la dirección de la falla eléctrica y/o la determinación de si la falla eléctrica es una falla interna o externa cumple un criterio predefinido.
