Se describe un empaque (1, 1´, 1´´, 1´´´, 1´´´´) para una válvula (2) de un motor de combustión interna (3); este empaque (1, 1´, 1´´, 1´´´, 1´´´´) tiene un eje central (A) y comprende: un elemento de sello anular elásticamente deformable (12, 12´, 12´´, 12´´´, 12´´´´); una pieza de soporte (13, 13´, 13´´, 13´´´, 13´´´´) hecha de material de plástico, también anular y que tiene por lo menos una porción de retención (33, 33´, 33´´) acoplada coaxialmente sobre una primera porción (22) del elemento de sello (12, 12´, 12´´, 12´´´, 12´´´´) para presionarla sobre un elemento guía (7) de la válvula (2); y medios elásticos (34, 34´´, 34´´´, 34´´´´) que actúan sobre una segunda porción (20, 20´´´, 20´´´´) del elemento de sello (12, 12´, 12´´, 12´´´, 12´´´´) para presionarla sobre un vástago (8) de la válvula (2); el medio elástico comprende una porción de apriete (34, 34´´, 34´´´, 34´´´´) de la pieza de soporte (13, 13´, 13´´, 13´´´, 13´´´´_) hecha de una sola pieza con la porción de retención (33, 33´, 33´´); el elemento de sello (12, 12´, 12´´, 12´´´, 12´´´´) se forma por medio de una operación de moldeo por inyección en una cámara de moldeo (45) que contiene la pieza de soporte (13, 13´, 13´´, 13´´´, 13´´´´).
