Abstract

El objetivo de la presente invención es hacer posible que un proceso para obtener datos de imagen de uso en pantalla a partir de los datos de transmisión de video se realice adecuadamente en el lado de recepción cuando se transmiten varios tipos de los datos de transmisión de vídeo que tienen una característica de conversión optoeléctrica prescrita mientras se conmutan. Se obtiene una secuencia de vídeo realizando un proceso de codificación sobre los datos de transmisión de vídeo obtenidos conmutando y transmitiendo múltiples tipos de los datos de transmisión de video que tienen una característica de conversión optoelectrónica prescrita. Se transmite un contenedor en un formato prescrito que contiene esta secuencia de vídeo. La información de identificación que indica el tipo de los datos de transmisión de vídeo poseídos por la secuencia de vídeo contenida en el contenedor se inserta en el contenedor. La información de identificación se inserta en no menos de una cantidad predeterminada de tiempo antes de la temporización de la conmutación, para indicar el tipo de los datos de transmisión de vídeo después del conmutador.
