Abstract

Se proporciona un sistema de batería para vehículos híbridos. El sistema de batería comprende una pluralidad de celdas. Las celdas del sistema de batería se acoplan eléctricamente a un arrancador eléctrico del vehículo, el arrancador eléctrico se acopla mecánicamente a un sistema de transmisión del vehículo. El vehículo híbrido tiene un primer modo de funcionamiento en el que las celdas del sistema de batería proporcionan potencia al sistema de transmisión, y un segundo modo de funcionamiento en el que las celdas del sistema de batería reciben potencia desde el sistema de transmisión. El sistema de batería está configurado para: determinar un requisito de voltaje del sistema de batería en base, al menos parcialmente, a un modo de funcionamiento actual o a un modo de funcionamiento anticipado; y ajustar la configuración de las celdas a fin de aumentar o disminuir el voltaje del sistema de batería de acuerdo con el requisito. También se proporciona un método para hacer funcionar a un vehículo híbrido.
