Abstract

The method involves: recovering the distribution of the warp threads (1), weft threads (2) and nodes (3) where threads intersect; describing each thread-intersection node (3) in terms of a 3D position coordinate (x) and two movement coordinates, the warp movement coordinate (u) and the weft movement coordinate (v), which represent the movement of the warp threads (1) and weft threads (2); measuring the forces at each thread-intersection node (3) on the basis of a force model, the forces being measured both at the 3D position coordinate (x) and at the movement coordinates (u, v); and calculating the movement of each thread-intersection node (3) using derived movement equations which use Lagrange-Euler equations, and integrated digitally with the time, the movement equations representing the mass density distributed uniformly along the threads, as well as the forces measured and limit conditions.
