Abstract

Se proporciona un método para eliminar la envoltura que contiene hierro de una perforación de pozo que comprende proporcionar un cátodo en dicha perforación de pozo, en donde dicho cátodo se conecta al polo negativo de una fuente de alimentación; conectar dicha envoltura que contiene hierro al polo positivo de dicha fuente de alimentación; inyectar un electrolito en dicha perforación de pozo, en donde dicho electrolito está en contacto con la envoltura que contiene hierro y dicho cátodo; aplicar una corriente de manera que el hierro en dicha envoltura que contiene hierro se oxida a cationes de hierro; permitir que dichos cationes de hierro se disuelvan en dicho electrolito y eliminar dicho electrolito de dicha perforación de pozo. Asimismo se proporciona un sistema para eliminar la envoltura que contiene hierro de una perforación de pozo, un método para monitorear la eliminación de una envoltura que contiene hierro de una perforación de pozo y un método para tapar y abandonar un pozo.
