Abstract

Sistemas, métodos y dispositivos informáticos de almacenamiento para determinar una ubicación de una fuente acústica fuera de un hueco. El método se refiere a indicar una distancia radial hasta el hueco, una desviación a través del hueco y una posición acimutal alrededor del hueco, de la fuente acústica. El método incluye recibir señales acústicas desde los sensores acústicos respectivos separados a lo largo de una herramienta que se hace descender en el interior del hueco. Mediante el uso de señales acústicas y un modelo de hueco, se calculan energías acumuladas para distintas distancias radiales desde el hueco. Se traduce al menos una de las energías acumuladas en una indicación de una distancia radial de la fuente acústica desde el hueco. Se calcula la energía acumulada para una distancia radial al desviar las señales de datos acústicos en el tiempo de acuerdo con el modelo de hueco, sumar las señales de datos acústicos desviadas para producir una señal acumulada y evaluar la energía de la señal acumulada en una ventana temporal.
