Abstract

The present invention provides a caliber-containing centrifugally cast roll for hot rolling that has excellent abrasion resistance and fatigue resistance as well as excellent slip resistance. The present invention contains, by mass%, 1.8-3.0% of C, 0.2-1.0% of Si, 0.2-1.5% of Mn, 5-9% of Cr, 4.0-7.0% of Mo, 4.0-7.0% of V, and 0.5-2.0% of Nb so as to satisfy 0.6 ≤ (C-0.24V-0.13Nb) ≤ 1.4 (herein, C, V, and Nb represent the content (mass%) of each element), wherein the balance has a composition consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities, and the surface hardness is configured to be Hs 67-76 in terms of Shore hardness. This makes it possible to achieve a caliber-containing roll, said roll making it possible to suppress abrasion and fatigue and simultaneously prevent slipping even in a severe hot rolling environment in which a high rolling load is applied. The present invention further exhibits the effect of achieving an improvement in steel material (steel pipe, etc.) productivity, a noteworthy improvement in product quality, and an improvement in roll life span.
